Having Chirinos' bat in the lineup is much more warranted than others, but he is a Catcher. He doesn't pitch. He doesn't play OF... he doesn't play 1B.

Complaining that Chirinos is on the bench is pointless.

Yeah, great success by the Texas teams.....

I'm not pretending the Mariners are some amazingly great organization, they aren't. Hell, ownership has a ton of issues. It does make me laugh how bad the Texas teams are, along with the Florida teams. I realize the rangers have had injuries like I've never seen in my life.

I'm going to enjoy what Seattle is doing and see what happens. They're 40-25 over their last 65, the best in baseball. I'm that time their 3 and 4 pitchers have started one game.

Mariner fan has been waiting a while to get that out. Reminds me of the days of roided Bret Boone.

You telling me this forum isn't full of them? I'm sure that's the case with every single team, so it's not like I'm picking on the Rangers, just stating a fact. This forum is dead compared to the last few years and a big reason is the Rangers struggles. Hell, I think there were like 5 posts in this thread through the first game of the series. DallasAg doesn't jump off. mhayden is around. I'm sure a few others too, but as a whole a lot of people have checked out.

Actually I'm pretty sure the Mariners don't have any bandwagon fans.

People are still fans, but when, on a day-to-day basis, the games don't mean anything/play out near identically/don't offer future projections, there is only so much to post.

Players that matter on the current roster:
Darvish
Tepesch (likely starter going forward)
Martinez (likely going to get opps going forward)
Frasor/Cotts - Trade bait
Soria - Trade bait/2015 closer

Chirinos - Likely part of catcher platoon going forward
Odor - He's exciting
Andrus - Nothing really to discuss here. He should be playing better
Beltre - He keeps being himself. Great at the plate, expected decline in the field. Overall, not much to discuss.
Rios - Maybe he's here, maybe he's not.
Martin - Needs to play a little better. Great in field, still shows lapses at plate.
Choo - Injury hampering him big time, really needs to get that squared away.
Choice - Man, what a monster disappointment he's been.

That's 14 players out of 25 that matter at all, and I was generous about a few of them. With most, there is limited to talk about.
