At this point might as well be rooting for them to tank and secure the #1 overall.

Been rooting for this for awhile now. Still nice to see them win though.

Last Week: 29 While the current 25-man roster put up only a cumulative 23.3 WAR in 2013, it's not even September, and the Rangers have used 36 different pitchers and 57 different total players. The MLB records are 37 pitchers and 59 total players, respectively. After September callups roll around, Texas will almost certainly shatter both marks. -- Brandon Land (@one_strike_away), One Strike Away

After their 6th win in a row, the rangers magic number is down to 3 in order to not lose 100 games.... hey, gotta aim for something

What a facking waste. The Rangers can't even lose properly. Now they've won just enough to not be in 1st pick position.

Exactly.

Sucks seeing Nefty and Holland and Colbra and others improve and or play well heading into 2015.

They should fire Bogar AND JD and just start from scratch!

Rangers 8-2 in their last 10. I like seeing the good play of late. Rangers will end up with a high pick regardless.

Yeah, 30 year old professional athletes definitely need to improve the last 2 weeks of a season to prepare for the following season that will start 5 months later. Great point, they're guaranteed to carry the momentum through the winter, through their individual offseason fitness programs, through spring training, through the offseason roster changes and on into 2015.

You try too hard to sound brilliant

Again. I couldn't agree with you more. You typically see struggling baseball teams try to make things worse so they can secure #1 overall because it's absolutely a lock to be a better player than #3 overall.

Telling you, guys...if you want real insight just wait for this guy to post.

Too bad we won't get the #1 pick.

I was looking forward to the excitement.

The point of improving going into the off season is based on the uncertainty surrounding them.

Colby is a FA, who could be part of the rotation if the Rangers want.

Holland has provided some certainty for the rotation.

I'm good with Tepesch in the rotation for next year.

Darvish, Holland, Colby, Tepesch, Martinez
Definitely serviceable. I haven't been following potential FA signings, but there were a huge crop of nice SPs to become FAs. They aren't too desperate, but it would be nice to get help.

Nefty gives us closer confidence.
