And perhaps this is where a true advantage of winning the first 2 came into play.

The Rangers couldn't dick around with any kind of "long relief, eat up a few innings" kind of stuff.

In the bullpen, the Rangers only have Dyson and the three starters, Perez, Hamels, and Darvish.

Some tough choices about to be made by them.

They need a run now to let Dyson close the game out.

yes, it can. The Rangers were only 16-17 vs. the AL East. And including the ALDS...went only 16-20 vs. the AL East...which put 3 teams in the playoffs. Toronto specifically was 7-3 vs. the Rangers

Nationals up 4-3 in LA in the bottom of the 6th, trying to get the road upset to take command of the series and force the Dodgers to close it out in DC.

In the past 2 innings, there have been 5 in-the-middle-of-an-inning pitching changes.

That'll really slow things down. Has to be rough on the fans at the game. That's when my mind starts to wander and sometimes I find myself just standing in the concourse drinking beer and getting refills.

And now with 3 more samples and a larger sample size, they were 7-3.

On a more serious note, in the 7 regular season games, Toronto had a +15 run differential. The Rangers got whacked in a couple of games...

Kenley Jansen was just awful for the Dodgers in the 9th.
