They said that it would hurt Arenado going back to his real team knowing that he got benched in the WBC. Well what does it say to the players who sit the bench behind that dude, other than the fact that they wasted three weeks of spring training?

While it was a dumb question, Carlos Beltran technically does have a few right handed at bats against right handed pitchers, including in 1999 and 2001 when Beltran faced Martinez.

Yeah I noticed that in the semifinals too. "No manager challenges" has really just become unlimited manager challenges, because every time they talk to the umpire, there's a crew chief review. Why not just call it what it is?

Of course there are the rare occasions when players go R-R and L-L for whatever reason, but if that happened against Pedro, he obviously doesn't remember it.

I will say I like listening to John Smoltz. Dude is pretty damn smart and he does a nice job of explaining well without sounding like a know it all.

What's the effective difference between the pause Stroman has and the jump step thing they passed a rule about because of one guy? Seems like a silly rule if you're going to allow another guy to stop completely twice in his motion.
