won't see Cole for the second series vs. NYY either
If he waits that late hes also giving up most/all of next year too.themissinglink said:

Yankees ace Gerrit Cole placed on 60-day IL due to elbowI still think the All-start break is a good over/under for when it's announced he needs TJ.Quote:
Any dreams of a speedy return to the mound for reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Gerrit Cole were dashed Thursday when the New York Yankees moved the right-hander to the 60-day injured list due to elbow inflammation.
On March 16, Cole said he wouldn't throw for three to four weeks in an effort to heal his ailing throwing elbow, telling reporters that nerve irritation and edema were the source of his problem, with rest and recovery the prescription.
Mine is LuAce so i wont have to worry until probably July lolBeaumontAg05 said:

Is it his 2 game suspension carried over from ALCS? I hadn't heard any injury news otherwise.
I love it just because it means the manager pays attention and is up to date on analytics!texasaggie2015 said:Espada said Alvarez hitting second and Tucker hitting third will be the lineup on a daily basis for the most part.

Players want to know where they're hitting when they wake up each day. I'm glad it's going to be consistent.
Shohei lost $4.5MM to a bookie. Someone has to pay for that.TarponChaser said:
Hold up, did we discuss Bryan Abreu being on the injured list? If so, I missed that.
Anybody know what's up with him?
It's Rafael Montero time!BeaumontAg05 said:

While I generally agree, it feels like every time someone tries to rehab an elbow injury instead of TJ, it just pushes out the inevitable. I'm not sure I can name a player that successfully rehabbed an elbow and didn't need TJ within the next 2 seasons or so. If you're going to miss half a season rehabbing the elbow, might as well just get the surgery over with and be healthy for next season. I realize that is a difficult decision to make. I don't know the specifics of the Cole injury though.Mathguy64 said:If he waits that late hes also giving up most/all of next year too.themissinglink said:

You dont want the TJ unless you need it. But if you need it, get it. Dont wait.

. Seriously doubt we see him all year and some if not all of next. This is mirroring the JV issue years ago. Just happened in spring training not after the first couple starts.W said:

Single? How about a lead off bomb and then having to face those 2. Have there ever been back to back to back home runs to start a game?
