Won the series and the offense finally looked good. Got a little mad. I'm 200% more worried about Yordan than blowing this game. We're up 5.5 with 7 to go. We could lose the rest and we still likely win the division.
Hader is now 8-8. I've never seen a closer with that many decisions.

It's all decided by tie breakers. Change happened when they went to the expanded playoff
We've used him a lot in non-save situations. Only three of those decisions come via a blown save and two of those were Ws.Mathguy64 said:

In the past, Hader had the stuff to not have to be concerned with locating in the zone. Now, he has to locate and can't consistently do it. Same with Abreu. Combination of a downtick in velo and 97-98 not being anything special, like it was a couple of years ago.

I know we debate his defense but there can't be any debate about his offense. One of the priorities for next season is to find a CFer who can hit. Since he got past that massive month of May he's been the worst CF in the majors. His OPS since June 1 is .579. The next closest is .640. His wRC+ is 66. The next closest is 82. His BA is .195.

Kinda ironic that Alvarez loafed on the first hit of the game...then made up for it by stretching that single to a double and gets hurt. I wish he would have stuck to first. It's not like Doobie scored that inning, we only scratched the one run.
