4 games back with 10 to go. You have a 0.1% chance of winning the division and a 13% at the wild card (per FG). I think you need to win 9 at a minimum. If so, you need the Guards to only win 9 as well and then the Sox to win 6 or Astros to win 5. This assumes you have the tiebreaker.

I think that makes today a "must-win" game for the Rangers with de Grom on the mound. Gotta start winning, and gotta have teams above them lose (Astros). Pitching will again be in the Rangers favor, but that hasn't meant much most of the season (or this series).

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

They absolutely have the edge today. Pretty much the rest of the Rangers' games are must-wins. There are scenarios (unlikely) where the Rangers win out and still miss the WC.

This is feeling like the Glausman complete game start for DeGrom against the Stros, while we're hoping Javier can stand on his head and maybe get through 5.

For the first time in basically forever, the all time series is tied. Its really been. A pretty wild run. In 2015 this series was completely upside down.

Rangers have actually kept it quite close the last few years.

It will be quite interesting to see where the two teams go from here.
