So right now, RSN is part of the same cable/streaming packages that Bally was on before, correct?

Would love YTTV, but I doubt it'll happen

I think YTTV has just drawn a line in sand for any RSN. I too would love it and would pay a premium. I'm YTTV in the fall/winter, Fubo spring/summer.

I've wondered the same thing. Is Dave Raymond a Bally's employee? I know Emily Jones works for the Rangers.

I would expect it to stay the same, but I would be cool with revamping the booth. Bring back Lewin! (And get rid of Valle.)

Raymond is one thing but Valle was flat boring in my opinion. Emily said she's only working like 20 games. I'd guess this or next is it for her. Interesting the rest of the crew… Mac, pudge, are gone and has Dana Larson been gone for some time? I'm a fan of Sandler's work.

Gotta think they're grooming Sandler to take over from Raymond. At least that's the hope in my eyes as we might only have to put up with Raymond for another season or two.

Laura Stickells seems to be from the NE area and was doing field media for the BoSox minor league affiliate and some college hockey stuff for NESN. So I'm assuming she's the heir apparent for Emily Jones.

Dana Larson I believe was doing some pre/postgame stuff last season if memory serves.

My prayer is for our TV broadcast in 5-7 years to be:

Jared Sandler - PBP
Nathaniel Lowe - Color Analyst

That could be a tandem that would last 20+ yrs together if they wanted.

I really like Sandler.

I think it was '16... '17, when I first noticed him on the Rangers broadcast. There was a time they'd turn over the PBP to him in like the 7th Inning to do an inning of work. IIRC, they give him the option to do another inning here and there. Nadel and Hicks really brought him in and helped him. He has credited them for their willingness to bring in this kid.

I think Hicks has said that Sandler came in and really wanted to learn everything and worked hard and was respectful. He painted Sandler as this guy who had a respect for Nadel and Hicks and what they could teach him, while giving them insight on how they could engage a the next/younger audience.

If the Rangers can really lock him down, he could go down as one of the greats. I grew up with Vin Scully who did PbP for the Dodgers for decades and was associated with them for 66 years.

Sandler has been with the Rangers for like 12 years and whether it is Radio/TV/Both... he could take over for Nadel... Raymond... or both.

Chance for fubo but YTTV isn't looking good.

I'm personally happy to give them $100 for the joy 2023 brought me but more importantly the ability to watch with my 5 year old. He lives and breaths baseball right now.

Good options. YTTV is doubtful as their strategy to control cost is avoiding RSNs. I think they only offer a few NBC related ones in some major cities.

I keep hanging onto DirecTV and this is one more reason I'm going to keep sticking with it

I like to channel surf too much. Some games I may watch first pitch to last, but across 162, much of my watching is in and out depending on game situation, etc. So definitely happy to have that option without having to hassle with flipping between apps

Since I live OOM, I've had to subscribe to the MLB TV option for quite a few years in order to watch the Rangers. It's $99, so virtually the same as what the RSN version will be. It's great IMO - initially they didn't show the pre-game shows, which I didn't like, but they show those now. I also live in this odd little triangle where I fall into the territory of the Reds, Braves, and I think Cardinals....so when the Rangers play those teams, the games are blacked out. Shouldn't be an issue for most of you, but something to be aware of depending on where you live.

I will say that I like being able to go directly to the games, knowing exactly where they are, instead of having to search around and find them on a channel listing menu. So that's a bonus IMO. Just wanted to share my experience.
