This is starting to look like the opening day lineup. Just sub Walker if he's healthy. I also think Meyers gets the nod over Chas. Right field is the question mark.

They are definitely understated, but I'm sure they'll grow on me. I already like them a bit more than I did when they were leaked last week .

I think the orange base layer and high socks really dresses them up nicely.

New CCs look good though I would prefer no number on the front. I doubt I'll buy any but will wait to see how they look in person.

*Also change the HTX to HOU. Never been a fan of that.

My gripe is that why would you put the first letter of the team name and not the city name. What other team besides the A's and sometimes the Dodgers do that? I know it's technically since the A was left off the jersey but it irks me lol

Here's what I think about the uniform after I watched the promo video - the promo video was about what comes after the moon landing, and the astheric was they were standing on Mars, so it's about pushing into the new frontier of space exploration.

The shots of them standing on "Mars" in all white makes me think of an Astronaut. I think they chose white to closer imitate a space suit. That absolutely tracks with the video that was released.

I didn't like them as much when I saw the leaks but seeing them now I'm 100% in.

The hat looks way too much like a cheap corporate promo hat for me. I like the small touches on the jersey, but the overall look is pretty bland to me. I preferred the dark blue jersey mockups somebody had online a few days ago. They would look sweet with white pants.

I have to agree with you. That hat looks super cheap and gimmicky to me.

Jose Altuve will play "most of his games" in left field this season, Joe Espada said today. He left the door open for things to change — injuries, good performances in the minor leagues — but made it clear that Altuve will open the season as the Astros' primary left fielder.

The hat looks like an Allsups trucker hat. That white will be dirt brown quickly.

The uni itself needs knickers and colored socks to not be optional. Fat chance of that.

I think the hat is the best part. I've always loved the look of the white front and color sides/back. It reminds me of some of the 80s caps.

What I don't like is the logo. I just don't dig it much. It doesn't really say "Astros" to me.

Honestly, I wish it were an H instead. Blue H with the same orange star in the center.

That old prototype was the first thing I thought of when I saw the new cap.

Not big on alt unis, but at least these are more interesting than the regular ones. They really need to bring back the pre-rainbow gut shooting star home jersey.

Someone on the Expos threw Bagwell an Euphus pitch that he sent into upstate NY. I want to say it was oil can Boyd but I'm sure that's wrong.

All I remember was Bagwell uncoiled like 3 times waiting on that lobbed baseball.
