The interesting part to me is that he got 3 outs on 4 strikes and didn't give up a run despite 3 walks.

ETA: for those 3 outs, it was a ground out on a ball hit 95.4 MPH and a GIDP that was hit 101.0 MPH.

So, I have some findings after digging into the GOAT of all baseball simulation games: OOTP 26, which just came out last week.

The good news:

Cam Smith is legit; he slashed 269/313/461 in 43 games in the majors at the end of the 26 season
Arrighetti is a quality starter, 191 innings of 4.2 ERA ball; and a whip of 1.28
Hunter Brown is amazing: 3.11 ERA in 204 innings; whip of just over 1
Framber will have a terrible start to the season; which will allow you to sign him for just $64 million for 4 years, and then will have a massive rebound
Chas has a huge season winning both the Gold Glove and the Silver Slugger in RF while posting a 5 WAR.

The bad:

Yordan Alvarez will get miss time on 20 separate occassions during the 2025 and 2026 season. I traded him for Matt Olson and Austin Riley (plus retained salary for Olson by the Braves)

Hader will never recover his pre-Astros form, and will be used as a decent left handed specialist while Abreu takes over the closer role

Chris Walker is Jose Abreu level bad, and gives up his starting role to Paredes after Austin Riley comes over (Olson DH)

Long story short; astros narrowly win the division by 1 game going 92-70 but get bounced by the Twins in the first round.

In fairness, playing MLB The Show last night, I hit 3 HRs in a ranked game with Christian Walker.

Wonder if he said anything about if returning to the Astros was a consideration.

I doubt it was like that. I suspect it was more that they didn't expect Houston to be competitive with what other teams would be willing to offer.

I feel differently. I like these better than the all navy blue space city jerseys, especially the pants.

I am digging the new City Connects. The hat I am not a fan of though
