Not the first time the Astros have thought about moving Altuve to the outfield. https://t.co/CZZ379Pjwa

Looking for the first shoulder-height line drive that goes 10 feet over Altuve's head.EastCoastAgNc said:The Houston Astros are keeping the door ajar for free-agent third baseman Alex Bregman to return, but are not optimistic. Bregman has serious offers from at least 2 teams.

If the Astros pulled it off, Bregman could stay at 3B, Isaac Paredes move to 2B and Jose Altuve move to LF.
Uhh what?
profar just signed with the braves, unfortunatelyWabs said:
I know neither of these is very likely to happen, but can you imagine if Breggy comes back and we can swing a deal for Profar?
1. Altuve
2. Profar
3. Yordan
4. Breggy
5. Walker
6. Diaz
7. Paredes
8. Pena
9. Chas/Dubon/Meyers/Dezenzo/Trammel

I want to see Bregman come back. For6/1403/75 though. He had his shot at 6/156 so now it's6/1403/75.

At least it's not the dodgers
I brought it up last year that we should at least consider this. Throwing from LF is arguably less important than 2B because 1) you do it less often 2) you can build up momentum and 3) accuracy is less critical. He would definitely need to build up his technique but I think it's completely viable. Keep in mind he won't be a good LF but he's already a terrible 2B so does it really matter?Farmer1906 said:Not the first time the Astros have thought about moving Altuve to the outfield. https://t.co/CZZ379Pjwa

He will receive $12 million in 2025 and $15 million in 2026-2027 https://t.co/cVnefs0t44

The Chicago Cubs on verge of acquiring closer Ryan Pressly from the Astros
— Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) January 23, 2025
I hear Houston needs a left handed hitting outfielder. They should look into Kyle Tucker in this deal

Houston Astros setup man Ryan Pressly has not waived his no-trade clause, source tells @TheAthletic. Teams have checked in, but he has NOT waived his no-trade clause. He is a member of the Astros.

Reading between the lines, sounds like "he's not gonna waive it for the Cubs".htxag09 said:
Both can be true, no? He's on the verge of joining the cubs would mean he's still an Astro….

The Cubs are among several teams interested in Pressly, who the Astros have been shopping.
The final decision will be up to Pressly. pic.twitter.com/Y8iBgoCsdP

If the Astros are able to trade Pressly, that could provide $ flexibility and enhance their chances to bring back star 3B Alex Bregman, people involved say

Case in point.
Though I do know the Cubs have interested in Pressly, I have no idea if there's interest in his part.
