I think everyone is wayyyy overthinking the Bregman deal. Basically Scott told him he's worth X amount of dollars, and he isn't seeing anything near that being offered, yet Scott is still telling him "I got this", "just have to wait it out" ,etc....same crap thats happened to his other clients the past couple years. Bregman is either going to take a deal similar to Correa signed his first year with the twins, or he's going to take a decent deal with Toroanto or somewhere crappy just to save face. I'd bet the chances of him resigning with Houston is less than 15% at this point.

Straw played a few games at SS for us if I am not mistaken. I can't remember the circumstances but seem to remember a game or two when that happened

Not saying we would, but implying the state tax benefit is the only benefit to the player isn't exactly correct. I don't think Alex will fall off a cliff like Abreu did plus we know Alex's real age whereas Abreu was likely 2-3 years older so this contract wouldn't get him to age 38-39, which is what Abreu was.RC_57 said:
