Is his ego bruised that his agent didn't manage to get him a better deal at all? Oh well, that's the risk. Man up and move on. You're getting paid like $250M over the course of your career. You getting a fair deal doesn't mean you're screwing over future players.

My theory is Alex/Boras are kinda hoping Alonso ends up somewhere other than the Mets, at which point they hope Uncle Steve backs up the Brinks truck for Alex.

It sucks we lost one of the best strike/ball callers in the game but I get their strict stance on betting.
