I would say slightly less.

What's he waiting on? Money lining up.
Astros still have the best offer. https://t.co/dJkB1GdZeE

I think y'all are making it more complicated than it is. Bregman/Boras came into the of free season expecting 180-200 M with options. The offers were no where close.
Bregman knows where his swing plays best and what cities he prefers. I think it's Houston & Boston >>> Toronto & Detroit. Chicago is somewhere in the middle.
At this point trying to leverage a Toronto offer to get more from Boston & Houston has failed. Bregman is trusting Boras to pull a rabbit out of his ass because he's 54 M short from the expectation.

It sucks we lost one of the best strike/ball callers in the game but I get their strict stance on betting. If there's even a slight chance that he was a gambling addict you can't take that risk.EastCoastAgNc said:Breaking, per MLB: Umpire Pat Hoberg has been fired for sharing betting accounts with a friend who bet on baseball though there is no evidence Hoberg himself bet on games or manipulated any that he worked. He also deleted messages central to MLB’s investigation.

If Bregman does sign with another team then Altuve will always be the greatest Astro in my book. Jose lobbied for The team to do everything they can to sign Bregman and even offered to move positions to allow him to play third base.
Completely agree and maybe this will finally convince them to take that area of responsibility out of their control...or at least allow the challenge system, which has been tested plenty in the minors now.WES2006AG said:
Hoberg threw away his career for this. Not many people get to do what he does and he absolutely deserves to be fired. MLB umps have to be held to a higher standard when gambling is involved.

So in a world where we play the A's again in Oakland and Ramon "shooter" Laureano is there mouthing off in the dugout, Dave is there to whip someone's ass?
Sounds good to me.
