Yep, same here. Also a lot of the home runs We hit in the postseason at home were pretty much middle middle fastballs or hanging breakers… A lot of guys would've hit home runs on those pitches.



That pitch is getting hit out 90% of the time

Also, I'm of the opinion that if the cheating was that bad and only the Astros, the commissioner would've taken away the trophy. But he didn't.

"Everyone else was doing it" is a pretty weak way to excuse what was going on… it was wrong regardless of what else was going on in the league….That being said, the joy I felt winning the WS in 2017 was pretty strong, and looking back, it was a really fun time after a pretty hard time for the city. The scandal just kind of is what it is. It doesn't really change how I feel about it.

I'm really glad we got 2022 in the bag though. That felt less joyful and more vindicated.

Agree with that, when I was in a batting cage, I knew that a 90 MPH fastball was coming. So according to this I should of rocked it every time because I knew what was coming. I didn't. I rocked it (barreled) a lot maybe 50% of the time, And even those I rocked a good percentage of them would of been outs.

And even when I was playing I would watch a pitcher, I could accurately guess what was coming well over 70% of the time. Even knowing what is coming did not produce a barrel. Now I know I am not a MLB player, but the principles kind of don't change. I would guess that most your great hitters will be at about 70%+ of guessing what is coming.

And guess what it is not just the pitch it's the location. And a lot of that has to do with the situation and the count and knowing what the pitcher throws best and tendencies.

As for 2017 goes, MLB clearly sought to use the Stros as the poster child for something others were clearly doing, The hypocricy is off the charts.

It's on par with Kingsbury having Patrick Mahomes at Tech for 3 years and the best they did was 7-6

I skipped a class in order to go to 2015 ALDS Game 4. Ended up missing a pop quiz worth 10% of my grade

Had to watch that collapse in person while trying to calculate how to salvage my already rough grade in that class
You can always retake a class. You can never re-attend a game.
