Twine Palmer, a 20-year-old right-hander and 2024 19th-round pick, has a 2.13 ERA in 42 1/3 innings at Single-A Fayetteville this season. https://t.co/yOwzO94ssD

I have a really strong knowledge of the farm system and I had to look him up

Twine is kind of a badass first name though.

According to Chandler, his middle name is Rollin

What is a Twine Palmer?
The Boston Red Sox are finalizing a trade to acquire left-handed reliever Steven Matz from the St. Louis Cardinals, sources tell ESPN. The deal is agreed to and pending medical review.

I was pushing for Cease in the 2023 season. The Sox were terrible, he was about to enter free agency, and he would have a been a great long term addition. I'd love to get that guy on the team now, he's in the middle of his prime years and still throwing well.
Of course, our IL has a solid starting 5...

If you can get him back to ace level for Melton, you've made the best trade of deadline week.
#MNTwins postgame clubhouse was absolutely surreal as players tried to digest what happened in an awkward 9th inning. One player said everyone was "shook."

Angry about his removal, Griffin Jax had a meeting with Rocco Baldelli for which Carlos Correa was present. (1/7)
Quote:
Cease would take a whole lot more than Melton.

I'll always remember Short fondly for his Dodgers series debut with us and the OPS higher than Judge's.
Out of 594 career PAs over 5 seasons, his .671 OPS over 56 PAs this season is his best. He's actually much worse than he's shown for us.
Shay's been consistently unplayable. No doubt Ramon is better than either option.
Ramón Urías strengthens the Astros' run prevention machine, raises the floor of their depleted roster and gives them a few options of how they can construct things going forward - https://t.co/yq19wX86Vf

The #Astros see a lot of upside in 19th-rounder Twine Palmer. The juco freshman touched 88-93 mph -- a mold the organization sees in top mid-major pitchers at age-19. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound righty has impressive spin to complement his slider. He also fills up the zone well.
— Kenny Van Doren (@thevandalorian) July 21, 2024
Additionally, the Astros see Palmer as Hunter Brown when he was 19 years old.
