Astros GM Dana Brown didn't commit to Ryan Gusto's place in the rotation beyond tomorrow, mainly because of how well he'd been throwing out of the bullpen. Brown did mention Colton Gordon would be the next man up if or when the Astros need another starter.

He's not taking ABs in LF from Jose unless Jose DHs and if Jose DHs then Yordan has to play in LF.
Ok Dana, I agree. Yordan can DH and Jose could play 2B. Then Zach could get ABs in LF. Or Zach DHs while Yordan plays LF and Jose plays 2B.
So that's option 1.
Option 2 is Zach plays CF in place of Jake, Chas or so help me Joe don't do it don't put Dubon in CF. Except Dezenzo isn't a CF at all. So scratch Option 2.
Option 3 is Dezenzo takes ABs from Cam in RF. Which is idiotic at this point but we are just discussing options.
So it's Option 1 Dana. Now sell that to Joe. And tell Brendan Rodgers he's sitting while Zach gets those ABs.
I'll say it. Moving Jose to LF didn't solve any problems. The minute Breggy packed his backs for Beantown that trial run should have been put aside.

Well Altuve has been much better defensively in LF than he was at 2B. Even though Rodgers hasn't been our biggest problem, we should play Altuve more at 2B to get Zach more ABs just to figure out what he can do. Worst case scenario he could be one trade bait if he hits a little, which is something Rodgers will never be. Ideally we'd make a move for a lefty hitting 2B at some point.
