My goodness, Diaz and Walker are just non competitive up there. Walker had a solid spring, but Diaz has sucked all through spring training, too.

Yordan, Walker and Diaz were supposed to be a huge piece of this offense. All of them, especially Walker and Diaz, have been horrible. Yordan seems to have lost some power.

I love Yordan but he seems mentally weak. Like a batting version of Framber. Still puts up great numbers but prone to spiraling several times a season

Joe is no better than Dusty, but at least he's giving Cam playing time.

Walker is up to 27 strikeouts, which puts him on pace for 208, so I was wrong about being on pace for the record (223).

But he's not even in the Top 15 for strikeouts this season. Colorado has the top two specialists in the area who have 35 (Toglia) and 32 (McMahon) respectively. Devers has 30. Walker's average is worse than anyone in the Top 15, and his OPS is more modest than all but two, so he still has bragging rights in the pinata crowd.

Tatis Jr is carrying the Padres. Right now he's slashing .354/.436/.691, with a wRC+ of 210. It's early and anyone can be on a heater. But…

Know what the last time was when he was playing this insanely well? The season before he got busted for "ringworm medication".

And of course his former teammate who just happened to have the season of his life in SD last year was recently busted for said "ringworm medication".

Nothing to see here. Move alone.

They made a pretty compelling case on the national broadcast about his dad challenging him to be a real hitter instead of a reactive hitter and showing the evolution of his stance. Not saying it's 100% that, but clearly he's adapted at the plate.
