Yordan Alvarez is going on the IL with right hand inflammation, the Astros announced. César Salazar is up from Triple-A to take his spot on the roster.

Heard on the telecast yesterday that Espada said Yordan's hand was feeling much better. So now he goes on the IL.
I'm now at the point that I don't believe a word when Espada makes comments about a players health.

We could get a lot for Yordan at the deadline if we're not in it. I've said this before but I'm weary of his constant trips to the DL.
That feels like selling low.scd88 said:

Why would you believe anything the Astros say about injuries? It's been that way for years

Yordan appears to have relied on God given strength and ability. He doesn't strike me as a workout warrior. That needs to change. I'd be curious as to the inside info on his work ethic, is he a Tucker or a Pena ?
