This organization does a pretty good job of developing pitchers and defense, but holy crap they absolutely could not develop an offensive player if their lives depended on it. That's true from the major league level all the way down to the lowest level of the minor leagues. Firing the major league hitting coaches isn't enough. Anyone associated with offensive development or scouting needs to be shown the door.

There is absolutely nothing that shows there's hope of this improving on the next few years. The cupboard isnt just empty, it's rotted so badly that it's fallen off the wall and smashed into sawdust. We're seeing over the last few years that throwing money at free agents doesn't solve anything. Dana hasn't really shown that he's capable of rebuilding the farm system (thus far, his early round draft picks look like complete duds). Might be time to blow it up and suck a fee years so we can make another run at it, but everyone needs to be replaced (pitching development can stay). Jim needs to remember how this team got to where they are.

19th and 21st is higher than I would've expected but I guess the rest is made up for in them being the least clutch team to ever disgrace the face of the Earth.

Paredes at .752 OPS is in line with his 2022 and 2024 seasons. He spiked at .840 in 2023

Walker at .619 is yes less than 2022-24 seasons when he was >.800. But in 2021 he was at .697. Also I will observe that this season he is being paid almost as much as his cumulative career earnings through 2024.

Yordan at .646 this season vs career OPS of .960 is the player I have confidence in reverting to mean at some point. For the others we'll see

Joe doing kinda same shtt Dusty did, create low pressure vet friendly situation, counting on vets to be pros and turn in the seasons they are capable of.
