This team needs a veteran who will close the doors and throw chairs. The problem is those guys keep leaving and I don't think there is anyone left who has that in them.
That's not who Jose is, Walker is a vet but he's too new, there isn't a real vet presence on the pitching staff other than Hader. There just isn't anyone there to do what needs to be done.
White Sox doing White Sox things.

Playoffs are gonna be adogfightpipe dream until we're rebuilt to "contend" which who knows when that'll be. Pitching and timely hitting will be the name of the game until Yordan is right again, hopefully still this year.

Now on a positive note, Altuve's FU kept Diaz from ending the inning with a double play.
Saturday is the 45th day of the season, meaning the Astros have to make a decision on Brendan Rodgers and his advanced consent clause. Analyzing Rodgers' underlying metrics, his offensive adjustments and where the Astros are at second base - https://t.co/Ql34aBDWuA

Legit question - how long does Espada have? A horrible start two years in a row. I know the roster isn't what it used to be, but we are seriously underachieving.

Biggio had a very good age 35 season in 2001
.838 OPS
which was boosted considerably by 66 walks and 28 HBP
.382 OBP
The only time Biggio took performance enhancing drugs was when he occasionally drank chocolate milk instead of whole milk.redline248 said:...and possibly steroids (as much as I hate to think it)W said:

Biggio's biggest performance enhancement that season was the giant pad he started wearing from his shoulder down to his wrist allowing him to crowd the plate and lean out to hit the balls in the other batter's box that were being called strikes. He either got HBP, got walked by pitchers unwilling to give him a pitch he could reach, or got good pitches to hit. I believe MLB changed the rules on how much padding player could wear while hitting because of how many times he leaned into pitches wearing that thing. The Original Houston 1836 said:The only time Biggio took performance enhancing drugs was when he occasionally drank chocolate milk instead of whole milk.redline248 said:...and possibly steroids (as much as I hate to think it)W said:
