I know Duran has a decent batting average over the past month or so but he offers no pop at all and a ton of his hits have been very fortunate and of the swinging bunt variety. No home runs this year is pretty shameful.

He gets cruising and then grooves a pitch.

He is not throwing max effort as much, but does dial it up when needed. I think he is preserving his arm.

If I were to guess most of the HRs are to leadoff batters and he generally strikes out the next guy with high-heat 4S FBs.

Well, it's 2-0 in the 6th inning. I wouldn't say this night is a disaster.

Degrom has been good tonight, but he needed to be great, like HB was. We will have to eat some of his contract, but moving him this off-season is a priority. He's simply not worth it.
