Here he was throwing out the first pitch at Minute Maid Park at the time in 2004.
He was there with his wife Gena, where he posed with 4 children from Make-A-Wish who wanted to meet him.

Cam Smith got in his own head last year. What is his ideal mindset?

Derek "Operation Shutdown" Bell approach
Actually I think there are a number of read and react hitters. Fairly certain Altuve is that kind of hitter
Everything the Astros are doing signals that Brice Matthews could make an impact as an outfielder. Some matchups early in the season could give Matthews a runway for regular at-bats ā and perhaps bring some stability to left field - https://t.co/Tw28pZmXlX

The Astros will open the season in a five-man rotation, Joe Espada said. The team will carry multiple long relievers in its Opening Day bullpen with the ability to shift into a six-man rotation after the seasonās second off day.

Zach Cole ripped a triple down the third-base line at 108.0 mph off the bat.
— Brian McTaggart (@brianmctaggart) March 21, 2026
Rooting for this guy. The power and speed combo is about as good as it gets. If he can k under 33% then he's going to be a difference maker on both sides of the ball. If he gets it under 30% at some point in his career then he's could be a star.EastCoastAgNc said:Zach Cole ripped a triple down the third-base line at 108.0 mph off the bat.

This was followed by 3 consecutive bloop hits between the infield and the corner outfielders.
