Dezenzo .939 OPS in 35 PA in AA/AAA & Cole has a .896 OPS in 37 PA in A/AAA. Time to bring them up.

This org needs a freaking sense of urgency. Both should be immediate upgrades.



35+ PA seems like a long rehab assignment for a hitter. Wow.

Dezenzo had a shortened spring because of the WBC and was immediately shut down on his return. The extended rehab was warranted.

I'm not being sarcastic when I say that urgent is not a trait exhibited by Dana or Joe. You aren't getting that from them ever. Or frankly Crane.

It's a great trait when things are stacked in your favor and you want a steady hand. But this team needs something a little more angry and risky.

Dana and Joe both have the mentality of that kid who has been failing all year in school and thinks they will magically figure it out for the final exam. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it's catastrophic

Gotcha. Per the Astros 40-man roster info it shows him as being in the minors and not on the IL-10.

The team isn't getting any better if we fire Joe.

I don't know why you need to make a move. What's done is done. The team is what it is. I'd only hire a new manager if it seemed like some massive improvement was on the market to be had and this was a window of opportunity but I don't see that.

Maybe Cora, arguably, but he's seemingly not on the market.

If you know you are firing Joe at the end of the season anyway and think Omar might be a guy you would consider, then giving him a 6 month audition as the interim manager to see how he operates is a no lose situation.


More of a no win situation, but I get where you are coming from.

Diaz has thrown out 1 of 14: 7.1%.

Why is the 35-year-old journeyman so much better than the 27 year old in his supposed prime?

Diaz has thrown out 22% of runners in his career (23 out of 287).

Even Biggio was better - 23%
