1 game out of 10 Brice plays like an MVP. It's the other 9 games that are putrid

If you had told me that in February I'd assume he had a good opening week and then got hurt for the duration of that

Has anyone asked Joe or Dana why Spaghetti wasn't on the opening day roster?
We will see how long he can sustain a sub 2 ERA while walking 5.5 guys per 9.Wabs said:

Cam needed a full season in SL last year. He never got that chance and it been evident for a year.
There's no better experience than MLB experience. If he doesn't adapt, it means he's just not a good player.
I don't think him getting SL experience last year would have translated to a better player this year, actually the opposite.
If someone is not ready, that is not a true statement. Otherwise why not start each draftee straight in MLB?
I didn't think Cam was ready, but was kind of forced to play up due to injury. I also think he could have benefited from time in SL.
You need to play MLB capable players on an MLB team in order to have a competitive ballclub. People get time in AAA for various reasons. There may not be space, mostly. the minor leagues are a space to gain experience if there's none available, or the team doesn't want to risk playing them in a position just yet because they have better options and may want to develop them a bit and keep them in their back pocket to trade.
You're saying Cam Smith is not a good player because he's not adapting and that there is no better experience than MLB experience.
He was playing NCAA baseball in 2023 and 2024, and only had 134 PAs in minor league ball, of which 20 were AA and the rest were A. Even Trout came up, went back down to AAA for 93 PAs and then came back up to MLB ball. Cam Smith is not Trout, but even Trout needed the AAA time.
My only point is Cam Smith needed AAA time.
Anyway, not going to argue on this beautiful day!

Are Cole and Dezenzo still rehabbing?
I wonder if the team wishes they had kept Chas around. For reference, he has not made it to the Cubs big league roster, yet, in 2026. .903 OPS with 4 homers in 65 ABs in AAA

I'm really curious to see what Dana can do with a full draft allotment to work with this year and the extra draft pick.

Dezenzo .939 OPS in 35 PA in AA/AAA & Cole has a .896 OPS in 37 PA in A/AAA. Time to bring them up.
This org needs a freaking sense of urgency. Both should be immediate upgrades.
