What's with the severed hand?

Going to have to lower ticket prices to help this shift.
You really feel for the businesses around the park; not that it was always going to be the days of wine and roses, but I bet their profit margin drop will be horrifying if the team goes 62-100 this year. I'd be fascinated to know what those places rake in during some of the extensive playoff runs.

I'm not sure Zach Cole, Cam Smith, Brice Matthews, Braden Shewmake, and Lance McCullers could win two in a row, much less 20.
Don't lump Shewmake in with the other scrubs. He's one of the only RBI producers in the last week.

When Loperfido comes back, they need to send Cam down to SL to figure things out. Or just do it now anyway.

There's frustrations within the organization with the handling of Cam. I'll say that.

I'd be concerned if there wasn't frustration. Don't know if it's how Espada handled him or if more blame is directed at Dana. Or both. He needs time in AAA to figure it out at the plate plus get more reps in the OF (if that's where we see him long term).

There initially 2 people in the image. I told it to remove one. I guess I should have put "and their hand" in the prompt

Those tickets on seat geek are starting to plummet.
Might be back to 2011-2014 where I got like a $7 upper deck seat and sat behind 1st base dugout

That's the Cam Smith conundrum.
Farmer would tell you he's just had back luck and due to regress upwards to his metrics.
I mean this season is nearly lost anyway so seeing if he's your future RF makes sense anyway, right? It's not like there's some other young stud OF he is blocking.Mathguy64 said:

I looked last night on TickPick. This is the chart for the Thursday afternoon game.

Think he needs to fix the K rate and pull air rate for any of it to ever actually turn into something tangible. And his ABs don't look anywhere close to him being able to do that.

I wouldn't lock what we've seen for the last 26 games (which is more than half the season at this point, I think?) in for a dinner date, much less a contract.
Yeah, I still believe. The interesting conversation for me is whether you can extend him in the cheap. It's not like we have any other potential candidates so might as well roll the dice to see if you can buy out a year or two of free agency. Could turn those into option years if you want to mitigate risk.Farmer1906 said:Beau Holder said:

Sure. That would likely take him to an All-Star/MVP candidate. Right now his xwOBA is .351. Look at who had a similar wOBA last year. James Woods (353), Trea Turner (352), Josh Naylor (351), Francisco Lindor (350), Brent Rookie (349), Jacob Wilson (348), and Cody Bellinger (347). I think we'd all gladly lock that in for the next 4+ seasons if we could.
