Okert is the opener tomorrow against the dodgers. This many bullpen games is not the way to success.
So what is up with the schedule this year? This is the second time we will have a singular home series sandwich in between road series
Shout out to Christian Vasquez who was signed late by the Astros and has performed way beyond expectations. He was unsigned until almost the end of spring training and has been a breath of fresh air both on and off the field. Glad he's back on the team.

Pretty wrapped in how bad we are, but there are some supposedly good teams off to some hellacious starts.
Blue Jays 16-18, last year 94-68 and AL champs
Sox obviously 13-21, last year 89-73
Royals 15-19, last year 82-80, Bobby Witt with 1 home run in 34 games
Mariners 16-19, last year 90-72
Phillies 14-20, last year 96-66
Mets 12-22, last year 83-79
Really weird seeing the NL Central so successful. The whole division is over .500. Milwaukee and Pittsburgh are tied for last. Both on pace for 88 wins.

I MUSTACHE YOU A QUESTION: Why is Christian Walker suddenly Rogers Hornsby (.425 average in his last 12 games) since growing the mustache? Across a full season, his projected numbers since growing the stache would include a MLB record 270 hits, 122 runs scored, 41 2B, 41 HR, and 132 RBI.
DOOM & GLOOM PART 1: One of the D&G categories is can the Dodgers finish with 45 more wins than the Astros. Currently they're on pace to win 35 more - 100 to 65. This series is sort of a big deal for that category.
GOODBYE LAST PLACE: Astros a full game ahead of the Angels in the AL West and only the third-worst record in the AL thanks to the Red Sox.
EMBRACE THE SUCK: Yainer down to a 9 home run pace. 23 in 2023, 16 in 2024, 20 in 2025. His "slugging" is at .356 and he couldn't throw out Marvin on the basepaths.
