I keep thinking that he can't keep doing this, and yet he keeps doing it. It's going to be such a great race to watch through the summer to see Sanchez, Miz and Ohtani battle for the CY. Ohtani is close to getting his average back over .300, just ridiculous that he could simultaneously be a .300 hitter and carry a sub 1.00 ERA.

Not sure if it'll happen or not, but there is a chance for Skenes and Ohtani to face off next week in Pittsburgh. If that happens, I'm going to find a way to try and be there. (I live in Indiana)

What an awesome matchup.

As great as Ohtani has been, is he even top 3 in he NL right now? The first 1/3 of the season has been ridiculously deep in Cy candidates.

I'd probably have him number 3 right now behind Sanchez and Miz, but with the caveat that if he finishes with an ERA below 1.00 he wins the award even if he doesn't qualify for the ERA title.

He's going to finish like 50 innings behind Sanchez which is pretty significant in terms of pitching value.

I'm going to be really curious if he asks the Dodgers to start letting him go out more often so that he can hit 162 innings and qualify. Right now he's on pace for like 150, so they'd need to get him probably 3 extra starts to make sure he gets there.
