That's what that was!

It almost looked like a slow moving shooting star.

Anyone have info on the parking? Everything I found online is for the Miami dolphin games. Better to buy early or pay when we get there?

If you are looking for a sports bar to watch Bama beat the sips try to find out if the bar you plan to go to after our game is showing the UFC fight. The Bama/Sip game starts at 7:00pm ET. The UFC main event starts at 10:00pm ET, but the undercards start at 8:30… of course this means that if you are at a UFC bar the UFC fans will be arriving in the 1st or 2nd Quarter of the Bama game. When you find out Miami bars that aren't showing the fight please post that info here.

Might've dropped this one but still had a great time in Miami. Looking forward to doing it again sometime. If you're ever in the Wynwood area, Enriqueta's Sandwich Shop was AWESOME

Decided a couple years ago to enjoy the destination and IF we get a win, it's a bonus. We should play more Florida schools. Makes getting over a loss the next day easier when you have an amazing beach to meditate on!

Big thanks to Old Main for putting this info thread together. Very helpful. Great trip minus the result.

Thanks! It was a good weekend despite the result.

For as long as most of us have been watching Aggie football Texas A&M has only won two of these long distance non-conference road trips against a quality team: @PITT and STANFORD in Anaheim. Bowl games are not included. To only win two of these games in the past 40 years is beyond pathetic.

Yes thanks for all the info. Appreciate your efforts to make this trip a good one for all of us. Hate that the game usually taints my opinion of the entire trip.

Hope we have a meaningful game there late in the year at some point.

Kudos to OldMain for this thread. We took many of these suggestions and had a great time in South Florida. Havana1957 and the Rusty Pelican were both great. Thanks again!

Thanks for all of the positive comments!

There were two things that I had no control over:

1) Weather
2) Game Outcome

It is crazy, but before the game I was never ever worried about the score. I was confident that Texas A&M would win by 14+ points. Obviously after the game I was a little in shock for lack of a better term.

My number one concern was the weather. Every day I would hope and pray that the weather would be good for the thousands of Aggies making the trip to Miami. Some days I would check the forecast 4 or 5 times. In late August/early September the weather was not looking good… too hot, too humid, Hurricanes, etc. Gameday week the weather started looking better - for those that know Miami - the weather for Sept. 9th in Miami could not have been much better than it was, so for that I was thankful .

So after the game I was devastated. I don't know a better word to describe my emotions. Later Saturday night I did some research. In long distance, non-conference games against quality opponents Texas A&M has won twice in the past 40 or 50 years. That is a staggering number of losses. Basically we won @PITT and against STANFORD in Anaheim - every other road trip has been a loss!

Anyway, thanks for participating in this travel thread and maybe one day we will win one of these on the road.
