Thanks for all of the positive comments!
There were two things that I had no control over:
1) Weather
2) Game Outcome
It is crazy, but before the game I was never ever worried about the score. I was confident that Texas A&M would win by 14+ points. Obviously after the game I was a little in shock for lack of a better term.
My number one concern was the weather. Every day I would hope and pray that the weather would be good for the thousands of Aggies making the trip to Miami. Some days I would check the forecast 4 or 5 times. In late August/early September the weather was not looking good… too hot, too humid, Hurricanes, etc. Gameday week the weather started looking better - for those that know Miami - the weather for Sept. 9th in Miami could not have been much better than it was, so for that I was thankful .
So after the game I was devastated. I don't know a better word to describe my emotions. Later Saturday night I did some research. In long distance, non-conference games against quality opponents Texas A&M has won twice in the past 40 or 50 years. That is a staggering number of losses. Basically we won @PITT and against STANFORD in Anaheim - every other road trip has been a loss!
Anyway, thanks for participating in this travel thread and maybe one day we will win one of these on the road.
