I know this particular thread is for Travel Cards, but wasn't there a thread where all cards were talked about? I can't seem to find it

I am looking for the options for cash bonuses when you signup (ex. Spend $4k in 3 months and get get 75k points (which is equivalent to $750 cash)). We won't be doing a lot of traveling over this next year, maybe two, so would rather take advantage of the cards this way. I just finished the Citi Stratta, but can't really find any worth a damn at the moment.

I just recently got a gold american express delta card (already have a green amex card, my go to since 1995) which will give me 85,000 delta skymiles after spending $4000 first 6 months---no fee for first year. I think 85,000 miles are probably worth about $1k and I shouldn't have any problem spending $4k in 6 months. Seemed like free money to me.

Is that $1k in cash? Or travel $$/miles only that you can just use toward travel?

85000 miles, which are probably "worth" approximately $1000 (if you used them to purchase or upgrade tickets or if you needed to buy extra miles for a big trip)

Btw, I called Amex about this one and it is roughly 50 cents for every 100 miles. So the 85k miles would be roughly worth $425 cash

Delta's website says their price to buy miles is $0.035/mile which for 85,000 miles would come to $2975, but I think this would be the absolute highest price. When I looked on-line to see how much various sources thought 85,000 delta skymiles were "worth," most answers were in the $900 to $1000 range. In any event, there is no fee for the card, all I have to do is spend $4000 (renew football tickets) first 6 months and I get 85,000 miles which will never expire and I will cancel card and never have to pay the $150/year fee which isn't due until year two.
