We didn't leave our resort grounds in the hotel zone, but everything was good 7/6-9.

Mexico handled Beryl much better than the US. We were back to normal 2 days after it passed through.

One things to worry about: rip tides and undertow. Since Beryl moved a lot of the sand, the riptides have been SEVERE. Most of the Cancun area already had very sizable undertow but now it's a lot worse. I was at in Akumal yesterday up to about mid thigh and it took all of my strength to keep from getting pulled out and I can squat 350+ lbs easily and leg press 450-500lbs.
