I'd assume they can't reopen CLEAR until Pre Check resumes since CLEAR uses the Pre Check lanes.

Friend flew out today. She arrived at teh airport just before 0600 and despite the security time tracker saying 240 min when she was in search of the end of the line, she was thru security and in search of food shortly after 0800/0830.

DFW terminal B this morning at 7:30 took 8 minutes from entering the line to collecting my stuff to head to the gate.

Yikes showing 210 at both terminals at IAH right now. I read some that some people literally were getting in line at midnight last night before TSA even opened at 3 AM.

Missed a flight there on Tuesday because of 3+ hour TSA line and had to stay in Houston another night. Tried to get a rental car but the line was 3+ hours for Avis and they ran out of cars about 20 people before it was my turn. Have had no problems through DFW, LAX, Pensacola, or Chicago in the last few weeks. IAH was a different story.

Yah I knew several people who were in Houston for CERAWeek (an O&G conference) this week and drove to San Antonio to fly home.

United has effectively restored a 1K only TSA option at IAH

What's new

United Airlines is routing Premier 1K, Global Services, and Polaris (businessclass) passengers through a TSA checkpoint in Terminal C
This checkpoint was previously closed to the public due to TSA staffing shortages
It is now being selectively used to bypass the 24+ hour waits in Terminals A and E

Who is currently allowed through

United Global Services
United Premier 1K
United Premier Platinum & Gold
United Polaris (international business class)
Select travelers with special needs

United confirmed this directly to Houston media outlets.

They reported That wasn't true and it was only on an availability basis.

I can confirm it didn't happen or wasn't open yesterday at 3:45pm as I flow out of IAH yesterday and specifically asked about it as I'm 1k.

So yeah that's fake news
