I take county line west from my house when I'm headed up to Denver. The proposed location is great for me. Even if it was closer to my house I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Out of town for work this week, but looks like nasty ice storm hit tonight. Hearing the roads are terrible. Be safe out there.

It was very slick last evening and this morning down in the Castle Pines area. Lots of sun today so quickly melting.

It was a fun season. Gotta get much better to be a real contender but a step in the right direction and fun to watch.

So I just found out my offsite parking spot (USA Airport Parking) sold out to the Parking Spot. Who do you guys use? I'm now in the market for a new program

We use Fine, hands down the best we've used by a long shot. Shuttles are always fast and the wife and I have noticed we typically will have 2-3 pilots with us on the ride. So if that's who they're using I trust it even more.

I've used park dia since they opened and never anyone else. Its way closer than the spot and whatever else on tower (on pena and Jackson gap), and for ever I used to get a promo that was like $4/day, however they seem established now and the regular rate of $7 is all I get.

Is there any parking that has covered parking? I have always used the spot and they didn't have any.

I mean you can always park in the east or west garages next to the terminal?

ParkDIA does , but I'd recommend you booking it well in advance.

This is typically what we do but $30/day adds up

this..

Although I'd recommend always booking in advance, because nearly every trip we go on, as we pull to enter, it says 'lot full'.

Park DIA covered is $17/day, $1 less than uncovered east/west economy lots

Oh for sure, especially with work travel. But as many times as I have wanted to save money there, the extra $100 I pay for convenience (west side, first floor, always a ton of spaces right outside door 100, take the elevator and walk right into TSA precheck) and covered parking (especially in the winter) feels justified

That's kind of how we feel too, plus it's a $100/ride uber to the airport from our house. So hard to justify, but if there were cheaper options I'd entertain it. It's the other half who likes to get there 5 minutes before boarding, so parking garage we go.

have you looked at the rail?

$10/per person each way, and lots around town are $2/day starting on day 2 (assuming you're in RTD area).

I've parked at the tower lot before when solo.. it's just a 10 minute ride or so, and $20 plus a few bucks a day.
When you return, getting back to your vehicle is about the same amount of time as waiting on an offsite shuttle.

The other one I've used is Canopy. They have good rate for covered. Lately I've just been parking at the east garage at DIA.

I'm going to stick with USA Airport/Parking Spot to see how it goes. The automated in and out on the app is nice. Rates seem to be going up though. They really jacked up the rates at thanksgiving. I think covered was almost the same as parking in the terminal garage. The points seem to be a decent value.

I parked at Canopy for years, but they went way downhill. It would take 20 minutes to get picked up in covered and just as long to get picked up at the terminal. Their facilities were also trash. Potholes everywhere.

The valet at Wally Park was always the best deal IMO, but they dont have covered parking.

Good first experience with them. I'll keep it going for awhile. And yep, lots of airline employees on it.

Haven't had this discussion in a minute so… what are everyone's fave date night restaurant spots ? No geographical limitation other than front range.

While I love the restaurant layout if you are on the side of the place facing east, this place feels like any other restaurant shuffling people in and out lately on the weekends. That said Sunday at brunch time allows for a great seat at the bar and good margaritas.

The owners are going through a pretty nasty divorce right now and are splitting up the restaurants. I am impatiently awaiting the nicer restaurant they are currently building next to La Loma (which is also theirs) in castle rock to open.

Also for a completely unique date night restaurant I highly recommend Sap Sua. Their trng v trng, is legit one of the best things I have ever eaten and I have eaten at some Michelin 3 star joints before

Not sure I've experienced what you've described, or maybe it just doesn't bother me, but I absolutely feel you on that last part. The La Loma in Parker has been teasing an opening for years at this point.

The La Loma Belleview (DTC) location is also looking like a total tease.

Yeah it bothers me bad to feel like I am in a cattle car to eat, being sat and expected to order and eat and get out. I don't like when the tables are crammed together and it feels like they are shoving as many people in as they possibly can.

It's one of the reasons I now refuse to eat at Perry's in Park Meadows. I moved up here from Texas in the last two years and I used to really enjoy the Perry's locations in Dallas, but the one in Park Meadows is simply awful. Waiter's being pushy, get in, get out, not enough room to move your chair, just bleh.

Daughter's 15th birthday is this weekend and she has asked for nothing except two family date nights so we are splurging and going to Shanahan's on Friday night and Sap Sua on Sunday.
