Lol, it's going to need a deal like that unless there is nothing to this.

Whew. I lucked out and sold them (APP) near the top. (for once!)

I won't even think about touching it again until it visits the vicinity of $450.

Just checking in to say today was an important close for WWR. Now it can pullback and not collapse.

I usually never get involved with a Board of a company, but as some of you know I placed a tremendous amount of pressure on WWR Board NOT to reverse split the stock. Told them fight the battle with the FTC using Covid shutdowns or whatever else they could to seek compliance extensions.

Above $1.72 opens into a trend column.

And how about that APP hit. Had a member yell out when it broke a technical and jumped in Puts without knowing the reason for selling. $550 puts went from $7.20 to over $28 in minutes.

OA - what's your thoughts on the APP hit? Most everything I read on X (fwiw) says that there's nothing to this probe. That it's just just short seller reports that have been refuted already. Didn't know if you happen to know anything else? Good buying opportunity on this big dip?

I won't pretend to be as smart as OA but there is almost nothing between where it is and $475 to stop it from falling to there. It's already back down to $550 in the after market session.

2nd thing I will say is there has been a lot of smoke with APP now from different sources. And you know what they say about that.

Love this board. Love this market. I guess we're pretty much done messing around with investing/trading to track the S&P? Haven't seen anyone bother posting on SPY in forever.

I mentioned some resistance and support levels earlier today. Not much more to offer as of now. Haven't had a meaningful retracement since April. There's not really a support to measure off of for a high probability trade.

Is anyone else watching CLSK (Bitcoin miner)? It's currently trading at 17.6 and Cantor Fitzgerald upped their price target to 24 this morning

I really don't like Bitcoin mining companies. I don't think they are good exposure to Bitcoin.

Nope, the risk in this market has me bearish. I've been selling winners and offsetting gains with losers to build cash. I've built up a significant cash pile that I'll sit on for the time being. I'm not shorting the market, just building up cash because right now it feels like playing musical chairs on the Titanic.

This reminded me of an old board favorite from the COVID days. MARA. Hadn't looked at it in years. Since 2024, it looks like it has a pretty solid base around $15 and resistance around $21 or so which is what it's near now.

I'd be interested in hearing someone's thoughts with actual skill at reading charts though.

Me too. One thing I'd consider though is these companies served as means to get btc exposure before it became readily available now.

Why are you bearish? Because we are hitting ATHs? Or other underlying metrics?

Math, simple as that. The S&P is trading at a forward PE approaching 24. Charts are WAY overextended. Earning season begins within 2 weeks, so if these companies don't SMASH expectations AND guide expectations higher, then they will be punished severely. I don't know what is going to happen, but I'm comfortable closing out positions and raising cash. If I'm wrong, then I can always buy into something. If I'm right, then I can scoop up a lot of shares in great companies at much lower prices.

Nobody has a crystal ball and that's why I haven't been telling people to short the market. I'm just making a prudent decision for my family's, friends and my account.

This ain't your grandaddy's market.

It may be your great-grandaddy's market soon! The current roaring 20's feature low interest rates, a declining jobs market & plenty of overly optimistic speculation. Seriously thinking about cashing out on some of the positions I have in RGTI, OKLO, SMR, etc.

speculative and no PE's have just been rippin'...I don't know how much longer this can last...but my goodness, the parabolic charts on these companies in AI, QC, crypto, stablecoin have been pretty nuts to me...but I keep hearing that we are no where near the frothy conditions of 2021, 1999, etc...not sure if that is their way of sucking more retail in before something swift happens? or if we truly have 6-12 more months of this? (which is what many of the talking heads continue to trot out to the airwaves and say)

I've been on the cautious side, but dang, it's pretty painful to see missed returns in many of these stocks I've held and sold WAAAAAAAAY too early...

I haven't seen anyones prognosis account for the trillions of liquidity created since Covid. Comparing PEs to past years seems a little disingenuous of you don't account for a multiple of liquidity. And we have less total stocks if I'm not mistaken.

As long as OKLO holds $100, it has serious upside expansion potential. My next target is $175 range and it could legitimately see mid $300's in this cycle.

That's the thing and why I repeated some of Paul Tudor Jones comments yesterday. He was very hesitant to predict a crash, but you could tell that he think its coming.. eventually. But his main point was that there are really no 1=1 parallels for this market and previous frothy ones when judging against the backdrop of the overall economy, fiscal policy, monetary policy, etc. The term "history doesn't repeat, but it rhymes" has become so overused and I hate to use it again, but it's true. Go back to some of my posts from 2022 or 2023 where I talked about how the FED was stuck and that if they moved substantially in one direction or the other it would literally break things. That has played out, and they have remained very cautious, even when making moves. Always talking out of both sides of their mouth. We won't know the conditions that cause the next crash until it happens. But you can definitely read the tea leaves. The world.. not just the US.. is drunk on debt. An there are no AA meetings for that. It's simply going to work until it doesn't. Enjoy the **** out of it while you can. Just use proper risk management. And please don't take on margin.
