I am totally out now with a 40% return. Thank you and the rest of the people here for preaching on taking the singles and watching position sizes. I have been careful to get in the market only when I can watch carefully and started scaling out when I am up 10 to 20%. Wasn't able to trade today until 2:25pm. Was 4 for 5 on scalps. Was snagging puts and got 1 too many at the tiny little reversal before the closing bell. Cut that one for a loss and flipped to call to recoup some of it. This was a wild ride today.
Sold SQQQ overnight for profit.
Bought SPY puts when in the AM but ended up taking a loss when it rocketed at 9:30am.
Tried to flip to calls, but got shook out again.
Went to QQQ and got into calls... I honestly went a little too heavy and also got in a little too early, but I was convicted it was going to get a new HOD and it did and I scaled out.
Thankfully about 5 or 6 bars before this absolute stop loss raid.
I honestly feel a little dirty about how I traded today. I held too long. Every losing trade could have been a winner. I also somewhat revenge traded and it worked out, but man if it hadn't... I'd have been staring at a -10% type day. But green is green I reckon.
Edit to say I degen'ed... couldn't help but think there was at least one more flush left in QQQ so a small put

I got close to cutting this too… at one point the trade was down 14%… got in a little too early.
One of the best weeks I can remember for me since trying to start actively trade options.
I can't complain. My goal is 1% a day and I had that, but overtraded. I'll still take green though.
Today felt like this... was going for my single but had to pivot at the end to keep it green.

Also had a good reason to miss the morning trading... me and my 7 year old son played our first 2 man scramble today and we won (only 2 teams)... but we shot 1 under par together.

sort of a weird close in my opinion because it closed within Friday's price range. Hard to forecast what happens overnight, but I think some cool off was required.
The 3900 area is some stiff resistance now and the 3820 area has held as support.
If you're playing tomorrow, i'd probably lean bullish above 3820, lean bearish below it.

it was great. We had a lot of fun. Just spouses. Met up with other college friend couples for a wedding in the middle but got a lot of sightseeing and food consumption done along the way.ProgN said:

Tricky trading. Have to be quick. Obviously I took the puts off a little early but still nice trade off the open into multiple resistances.

I made a couple trades of TSLA calls from 8:34-8:43 and 8:44-8:49. 6% profit to my trading account. I dicked around a bit after that and made a little bit, but largely sideways. AAPL, AMZN, and QQQ will be interesting tomorrow. I may cut back on TSLA trades the next couple days if we see wild volatility as we get closer to earnings.
