My wife's employer uses Empower as her 401k administrator. In their articles on explaining inflation: the causes, how to mitigate, etc..... there is ZERO mention that government increasing the fiat money supply causes it. They explain it all away through basic supply and demand events.

So, we now have at least two major financial firms that know jack **** about inflation and its causes: Goldman Sachs and Empower/Great West.

Absolutely ridiculous.

At a high level, wouldn't broad adoption of bitcoin need to do away with ATMs? Why not use USD if you still need to visit a machine?

In my experience the upcharge is really high and not worth it. Plus you can only buy up to ~500$ worth anonymously at most of them which takes away any advantage in that regard.

How many are not under some sort of surveillance either by the ATM itself or from the property owner? Is it really anonymous if your picture is being taken while approaching or using the ATM?

I think they only take the picture when you register and you only have to register when you buy over a preset limit, usually around 500$. That being said, I'm sure the store's system could still record your info either way.

ATMs don't make sense so long as you can still link your checking account/debit card to strike, or another exchange, and buy that way.

Why drive somewhere to go pay some stupid premium when I can do it instantly from my phone for less than $.50?

Transaction fees, and network defense.

Assumption is costs continue to decline, energy and hardware is massively more available so profitability will be much easier to attain.

As nation-state develop their own programs to defend like Jason Lowery's proposed mutually assured preservation implies, it's hard to predict.
