I think it's time to refresh this thread. I am looking to diversify some of my outsized cash position in my brokerage account in low-to-moderate risk dividend-paying stocks or ETFs. I want to steer clear of YieldMax type holdings.

What are your current favorites in the risk-adjusted dividend universe?

In the meantime, I entered orders this morning for two high-risk high-dividend payers, with protective puts to cover them:

PSEC (I have owned before), and

HIPS

Neither has executed yet. Thoughts?

My dad texts me every day about this ETF and that ETF...did you see this one pays a 27% dividend? and this one pays 19%...so on and so on. I've explained to him that a 73 year old with plenty (SS, fed pension, 2nd wife that still works, zero debt, etc) of income doesn't need to be chasing right now.

I told him to buy some combo of JEPI, JEPQ, SCHD, PFF, TLT, AMLP, SJNK

I hold 4 of those (bolded above) - I really like JEPI and JEPQ the most. I should probably just double up on those and call it a day. Thanks for the input!

I like PSEC have been watching a while. Hate that it's under $3 but my broker still offers standard margin on it.

Also eyeing GOF and AMZP atm.
