And there's nothing there. No NCAA violations. No rule breaking. Just a bunch of crying about him running the score up on us and stealing a player. Things that wouldn't have happened if our program stayed at a championship level.

0-4 in conference can be hard to overcome--but playing LSU, Tenn and SC on the road in your first 4 conference games is pretty tough! That's why that Fla loss at home was a dagger to the chest.

We have been coasting for years. Just mediocre. if a program wants to be on top and compete at the sweet 16 and Elite 8 level every year then a coach has to work and continuously improve. I still blame the administration for not paying attention and requiring accountability from all coaches. Just showing up and "competing" is not good enough.

I agree with some of what you've said above. I don't think the administration has turned a blind eye and I am hopeful that Bjork is doing work behind the scenes. The reason I say that is bc it's clear that when GB was only offered a one year extension that something was in the works. It was either a signal to his staff, athletes and fans that we will soon be moving in a new direction, or a statement to GB himself that if you don't take the hint and retire, this will be your last season regardless. Also, maybe Bjork realized that potentially who he wanted to get wasn't available last year? I do wholeheartedly believe that GB deserves recognition and praise for bringing this program out of the basement and into recognition. Did he stick around too long? Definitely debatable. One thing is for sure, GB is intelligent and a smooth talker. He knows the game of basketball; however, My personal opinion is that his style of play is too old school to compete with the new school way of playing and coaching. He hasn't adapted to what the elite players want in a coach and a school, and he has been out recruited significantly for the last 5-6 years.

If Vic isn't #1 on our list of potential coaches then our AD should be fired. No brainer.

In the grand scheme of our athletic budget, $7million isn't a lot of money for a buyout. If Bjork determines that's who he wants, he will pay it and won't blink twice.

If Bjork doesn't understand the opportunity cost of $7M as is insinuated above, well...

It's a lot of money! We ain't going to pay it! There's plenty of coaching talent available!

What Big Jim said! Plenty of head coaching talent out there!

Vic may not win the big12, what makes you think he can win again in the new SEC. Can he get past USCe or now LSU? New blood is probably needed to restart the program.

exactly. And she has transformed the hell out of that program.

You make a very interesting point. I had never thought about the fact that RB hired Coach Yo at Ole Miss. Whether she would want to leave what she's already started building is the question, but I have no doubt it's a conversation that will be had. I've been very impressed with her ever since she came on the scene at Ole Miss. She's the real deal….great recruiter, high energy, kids love playing for her, and just a very genuine person. Ross will have the unique advantage of pointing out 1st hand all the advantages of coming to Aggieland vs staying at OM. I found this article interesting…

With the transfer portal and free transfers, nothing is more than an offseason away. You don't need to tear it down and bottom out and slowly build it back. If you are a good recruiter, you use the opportunity to go out and get what you need right away.
