If you look at the press release closely you can tell it is Bond-White's Job for the taking. After Blair announced the retirement all three contacted KBW to reaffirm commitment. You reaffirm your commitment to an assistant coach who might be leaving when a new coach comes in?? That doesn't make sense. You reaffirm commitment to the expected new coach.

I'm curious - are any of the recruits point guards? Do we have any bigs lined up? I'm genuinely asking. I guess I can look it up but I'm just curious what you guys know about them.
For additional info, go to page 2 of this WBB board and there are topics on all 3 players with video on 2 of them. Also, here is the A&M release from signing day:

No bigs in the incoming class...that is part of our problem---getting an elite inside player. Roby showed some sparks of greatness on Sunday tho!

Did you see this ----------AUBURN, Ala. Precious Johnson, a 6-5 transfer from the University of Texas, has signed a financial aid agreement and will join the Auburn women's basketball program, head coach Johnnie Harris announced today.

Johnson, from Baytown, Texas, was the No. 33 post player in the class of 2020 according to ESPN HoopGurlz. As a senior at Sterling High School, she averaged 13.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 1.4 steals per game.

"We are so excited to have Precious join our Auburn women's basketball family," Harris said. "Her size and athleticism will give us a major presence in the paint. Equally important, she brings the experience of competing against All-Americans and being a contributor on an Elite Eight team. Beyond basketball, she is the kind of teammate that will raise the level of our team on and off the court. It's a great day for our Auburn Tigers!"

Johnson appeared in nine games for the Longhorns in 2020-21, averaging 4.0 minutes per game as Texas advanced to the Elite Eight in their first year under coach Vic Schaefer and with Harris on staff as associate head coach.

She will transfer following the fall semester and enroll at Auburn for the 2022 spring semester.

Auburn will open the Johnnie Harris era Thursday, Nov. 4, with an exhibition game against Miles College, and the regular season begins Thursday, Nov. 11, as the Tigers host Georgia Southern.

That's interesting.

I agree about Roby showing flashes of good stuff. I wish it was more consistent. Hopefully it will develop. Am I wrong in thinking that Hoppie, Patty, and Roby are only here for one year though?

We REALLY could have used Alexis Morris this year. Her ability to get the ball up the court would have helped for sure!
