As much as her coaching style and personality are truly not my cup of tea--this shows the immediate impact that a dynamic coach can have on a team!
I think you need women like Kim and Dawn setting the pace for TOUGH players. There is a lot of social BS that is being over me when women coach women to be fighters. And she would have been a great hire back when she was interested in coming here. I'm glad she is coaching in the SEC. We need the best coaches in our league.trackaggie76 said:

He retires the year after Vic got a job in Texas which he wanted to do. He really wanted the A&M job. I will always wonder for some reason Blair did not want him to come to A&M. As head coach

I'm pretty sure it wasn't his choice to retire. I think GB would still be our coach next year if something wasn't already in the works. Just my 2 cents.

During halftime of the last home game, they showed a video of many coaches from around the country giving accolades to Gary. I didn't see Vic.farmer1 said:

I think of the many times Blair pumped up Vic and kept saying someone should hire him as a head coach. When someone did, then Blair helped push the player from Brenham Vic's way when she couldn't qualify here. Vic repaid him by encouraging our malcontent Lashes to come to Mississippi State-even leaving Muster to get back to Starkville to make it happen.
That was the cherry on top of running up the score. That's my opinion why there doesn't appear to be any love lost. And it's one person's opinion. I'm sure there are others.

If I were a head coach I would try to beat every team I played by the largest margin possible. It baffles me that people are butt hurt over the score of a basketball game. A loss is a loss. Doesn't matter if it's by 1 or 51. Good on Vic for kicking our butt. If we don't like it, play better, coach harder. Vic owes us nothing. He was doing his job. Nobody is owed anything. If you are paid $1million plus per year you are expected to compete and compete hard. Accept the accolades as well as the criticism.
With regards to this season, I'm more upset with our players than coach Blair. They have really let our old ball coach down. If we see any of our starters back next season I will be shocked.
Not if his last comment on the subject is meaningful. Getting contacted by lots of agents of coaches because Texas A&M is in the SEC, had a great run with Blair, etc. He says we were underpaying Blair and will have to pay more. All in the most recent Town Hall.Artimus Gordon said:
