To Joni's defense, it wouldn't take 5 years if she could swing big and attract some incredible transfers in to the program. I can accept that we were unlucky with injuries in year 1 and 3, but losing your roster in year 2 to the transfer portal is very concerning to me. And I have to imagine that the transfers we did attract would not be great salesmen for the program based on results. Joni is in a very difficult position right now. She has to swing for the fences in the portal and pray.

It's all concerning. She had 3 McDonald's All Americans on the team plus some other talented players last year and we were still bad. It doesn't matter who she brings in. She can't coach. She can't put the pieces together.

The most productive players on this years team were GB final two players (Jones and Malone) Believe it or not there was talent on the team this year minus a point guard. She plays favorites and let certain players do whatever they want which ruins the team. Kent had no business playing. That's why Kim didn't allow her to play. That spot should've gone to Parker. She earned it. Malone and Ware should've played together but she ran another guard in that spot. Hunter, Williams are not point guards. They are shooting guards. They can consistently knock down 3s given the chance. Everyone played out of position to accommodate her letting certain players play. You will never be successful coaching that way. Until a whole new WBB department is brought in it will be an epic failure. We aren't good at anything. No reason we have the most knee braces of any team in the country. We won that.

I don't disagree but I assumed Parker was out due to injury and that there is a reason Kent was playing the most minutes of those two. I think Ware and Malone should have played more together but they were both usually in foul trouble and couldn't stay on the floor together for that reason. Erica Moon couldn't play effective minutes. Yes. It was an entire mess. Roster management and the health of our athletes is a great concern. Her inability to call time outs and stop the bleeding was another one. That still baffles me. Your team is dying and you're content for the other team to go on a 25-0 run? I got the impression that she just realized she didn't want to prolong the games. Idk.

Parker was just out recently due to injury. She should've been playing in front the whole season. Malone and Ware rarely fouled out, maybe 3 times each on the season. Fouls are like timeouts, meant to be used. You can't take them home. Plus you had Amirah to fill the gaps. Look at the stats and you can see who was productive and earned playing time. That's why she loses all her players.

I certainly don't disagree with you.

I think our program is super soft, too. We have players out for 2-3 games because a dang shin bruise it seems. Need to toughen up and we just need gym dogs as players.

IMO, both the staff and players mailed it in a long time ago

Looks like Auburn has moved on from Johnnie Harris

She was given 4 years. That seems to be the trend unfortunately.
