How many more years do the Ags retain this coach? The team shows no improvement in the years she has been here
She was not that successful at Georgia either. It was assumed she'd recruit elite here…windmill.1 said:
What is the difference between A&M and Georgia for Joni ?
She was successful there. What happened ?
Has she been too focused Team USA ?

The fans need to recognize the system and their part in it. Fans want a say in personnel. But they aren't in agreement but pretend they are part of a consensus. I think it is importsbt to give them a listen but not necessarily to do what they want. And the best way favs can influence policy and personnel is giving and spending. But it isn't a right…it is an opportunity.
I would offer that even very bright people can make a series of choices that don't work out. I thought (and have shared) watching Joni at Georgia before she was hired that she looked the role of what we needed next.
Also remember Dawn Staley didn't start at South Carolina with a championship. I think it is enough to let the TMF / Trev know what you think. I prefer doing that through back channels not on public forums.
Then return to the main job of fans: those are Aggies and they are doing what they can to learn and execute the game plan. Your support is NECESSARY and MATTERS to them.
Quit carping and support them. Do your job.

Yeah guys cmon! We really need to step it up! If we cheer a little harder on this internet basketball forum, maybe next game we'll only lose by 30 instead of 40! Those turnovers are on us! We have to be better!
they must have really strong internet fan support.taylorswift13_ said:

What do these schools have in common. They all currently have a higher NET Ranking in women's basketball than the Texas A&M University Aggies. Surely they must be outspending us in resources, NIL, coaching, and facilities.
Feel free to be frustrated. But don't expect your behavior here to change anything.aggiedrjdub said:greg.w.h said:

No. This is a forum to discuss and say what we want to say. Vocal frustration for inconsistent results/effort/ROI, while questioning the direction of a program is fine and should be expected.
Do we overreact sometimes. Yes. Is that also ok? Yes. The reality is, though, if we didn't care, we wouldn't be here. But we do. And we expect more from the 7th highest paid coach in the NCAA (WBB). The buck stops with her.
I am confident that you will choose your own behavior without consideration for others.aggiedrjdub said:
Okkkkkk - never expected it to. This forum is for fans and we support the hell out of the team and also voice frustrations when they are warranted. This isn't democracy of dissent. Duh. One can complain on a forum/social media AND also contact the AD and voice the same frustrations. The reality is, nothing we do or say matters unless we are donating $1m plus (and even then it shouldn't). We deserve a competent AD that will do what needs to be done to get this right, and be as transparent about it as he can be. Just as we deserve a competent WBB staff, and my opinion is they have failed the institution and the players on the team representing Texas A&M. That's not a personal assault on Joni. That's just the reality. If we hired her to create a really great Beyond Basketball program then kudos to her. That's not the job, though IMO. And don't expect your carping of our behavior to change anything either.

Tonight we're playing with 5 or 6 fully healthy girls, there are currently 9 former Aggies at the top of my head that are currently playing elsewhere after transferring out. We signed 1 girl last year and picked up only 2 transfers. Recruiting is hard, but apparently so is simple subtraction and addition…
Janiah Barker - UCLA
Sydney Bowles - Florida State
Maliyah Johnson - Ball State
Zaay Green - Alabama
Eriney Kindred - Florida
Mya Petticord - Rutgers
Kay Kay Green - Charlotte
Kylie Marshall - SMU
Tineya Hylton - Cincinnati
Sydnee Roby was a MEDICAL retirement - I know, because I talked to heraggiedrjdub said:taylorswift13_ said:

Did not transfer elsewhere, but decided to retire and not rejoin the team - Jordan Nixon and Sydnee Roby.
AFAIK she graduated. But I follow her on Instagram & she basically said she fell out of love with basketball.BQ_90 said:
I thought Jordan basically declined her Covid redshirt. Didn't she also graduate?
