Tech receives a lot of money from both the Higher Education Fund and the Texas University Fund, so its not like they have been left out in the cold.
The entire HEAF (or HEF if you prefer) doles out about $400 million annually across all the schools it supports, of which Tech is a recipient.
The PUF is worth about $30 billion and pays out about $1 billion every year to UT and $500 million every year to A&M.
It's really silly to compare them.
Whats silly is to not even have accurate numbers since the HEF was boosted to $787.5 Million every year and reduced the number of schools that have access. The TUF is a $3.9 Billion Endowment that Tech now receives over $60 million a year from.
It's also silly to act like A&M College Station receives all the PUF and AUF cuz its split amongst 6 Universities, HSC, 6 state agencies, and the System office.
These all get a cut
Prairie View A&M University
Tarleton State University
Texas A&M University
Texas A&M University at Galveston
Texas A&M Health Science Center
Texas A&M University-Central Texas
Texas A&M University-San Antonio
Texas A&M AgriLife Research
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service
Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station
Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service
Texas A&M Forest Service
Texas A&M Transportation Institute
Texas A&M University System Offices
Meanwhile poor little Tech receives $51,379,461 in HEF in 2026 and Tech receives $60,087,811 in TUF in 2025
Over $110 million that they get just for TTU
All taxpayer money every single year outside of the normal formula funding that every school gets.
PUF costs taxpayers $0
Texas A&M College Station only got $52 million from AUF and $110 million for debt service in 2025
Tech always makes excuses and blames everybody but themselves. The perpetual victim continues to hope people will believe their lies
