Greenskeeper has been busier than normal. It has been packed!
Never been to the tournament but played the course the week after WM. Stands were still up. Takes 3 months to take them all down. Fun course. Did not think it was overly difficult but played from the resort tee box. 16-17 were fun finishing holes.

I would go from regular to stiff shaft quick if I was on that green !
This tournament does nothing but piss me off every year. Watching these guys golf on a perfectly manicured course, sun shining, perfect weather damn near every year, etc while I sit here at work. It makes me yearn for 75 degrees and sunshine and golfing with cold beer. C'mon spring/summer. Tired of this bipolar TX weather.

Well to be fair, yesterday was an absolutely perfect day for golf in Texas. In Houston had a high of around 70
What is actually unfair for us regular people is they groom the desert so the lies aren't the same as they will be in a month if you or I were playing it.
Day 2 might be full of carnage. Looks like the winds are pretty strong out there and the greens are play super firm.
has coverage started already? I thought 2:30 on golf channel?
Like most PGA tournaments this year (and last), early round coverage is on ESPN+
Mav Mcnealy just putted it off the green and into the water because the greens are running so fast.... Then he proceeded to chip in after his drop.

The crowds and energy this week have been absolutely insane this week. Today we expect well over 200k people. The effort that goes into moving that many people through the course and keeping the grounds perfect is a monumental accomplishment. You really need to experience it in person to fully understand and appreciate it.

Well he could just be getting a lot of unlucky bounces or small misses. Could be putting terribly. I dunno, Jeeze.
His SG tee to green and SG approach are awful like in the 200s. Then he's also awful in chipping and putting. So he can bomb it but then can't get it in the hole. He needs some major work. Of course he can also come out of nowhere and win a tourney like he's been known to do.
Maybe he needs to do a ton of coke, start dating the smoking hot daughter of a legend athlete, take time away from the tour to focus on himself, clean up, learn the mental edge from his future FIL, and chip/hit his wedge nonstop for 6 months then come back and tee it up.
