agg's are +11 on the par threes today. and that's with three birdies.
sam played his last 5 in -4, so he did his job
this shows you how good you gotta be...as a team our worst score was E and we plummeted
NM - I see the score on 17 was changed to par, then he birdied 18. They are all going to have to play the round of their lives to have a chance to advance.

Too bad he played his first 13 in +3. He was -1 on the day. Course average was -0.25 today, so he was literally just above average. He wasn't even the low score on the team.CapCity12thMan said:

None of the guys played terrible, but none played that well either. All of them just in the middle of the pack. Needed at least a couple of guys to play decent each day to keep us in the hunt.
It only takes one great day. It'll need to be tomorrow.
yeah nothing to lose. fire at every pin and try for one of those -20 rounds.
The problem is that we need some teams in front to struggle. On this course it appears 4-5 under constitutes struggling. It will be a big hill to climb for sure.
teams are coming out of the gate hot again today. going to be tough to make up any ground if it continues.
I was more following my comment that we need to perform well on the closing holes, so in that context, Sam did just that. I wasn't referring to his round as a whole.

we have to have 4 teams come back to us AND we make a huge run. Nothing about the past 48 hours gives me any indication that will happen, and we are 3 holes in and already behind.
Sam has an outside shot to get in as an individual. Need Clemson to move from 6 to 5 to take Swanson out of the mix, but most of the other possible individuals are in striking distance if he can go decently low
Ags lagging behind early again. SDSU has jumped well ahead of us and is already -9 through about the same number of holes as us while we're at just -3. We now have 4 teams we need to leapfrog to finish top 5 (SDSU, Clemson, Ga Southern and Northern Illinois).
Looks like it's going to take 35-under or so to feel good about our chances and we're 20 shots off that mark. Would take a miracle round at this point.

UNC is absolutely stacked. Greaser, Menante and Burnett are all in the Top-50 of the World Amateur Rankings. Burnett is leading the regional at -16 and has 4 bogeys, 18 birdies and an eagle thru 43 holesCapCity12thMan said:

We were going to need 5-7 under rounds today from multiple guys (with help from other teams) to give us a fighting chance. E to -2 across the board so far after 9 holes is basically what we've turned in in the last two rounds. Not terrible....just very average. Clearly not going to get it done on this course. I'm still here cheering them on until the end though!
I believe, for the US Open anyway, that they got rid of the rule stating you must be an amateur to play in the event you qualified for as an amateur.aginlakeway said:_lefraud_ said:

The US Open changed their rule so the winner of the US Am still gets an automatic invitation even if they turn pro. He would be forgoing his British Open invite I believe, but with the way PGA Tour U works now he needs to take all the sponsor's exemptions he can get as a pro this year and try to accumulate points before next season.
Like stated above his quickest and easiest way to get on the tour will be finishing good enough in his 7 ( I think) exemptions to qualify for tour next year. Heck win an event and you're forsure in. This would allow him to avoid the slog of the KFT and other lower tours. With college season over... MAAAYBE. He could even get an exemption into Charles Schwab next week, but it is probably too late.
They can actually do this....par threes have hurt us again.
