Olivia Mitchell from DBU made the Arnold Palmer cup team for the 2nd time this year. Great program they have there.

Sam Bennetts father Mark was great friends with Olivia Mitchells mom back in high school and college. Her mom lived in Huntsville. They both ended up with kids on the Arnold Palmer cup team together last year. Small world....or maybe I should say, what are the odds ?

Did they have the tees way back on 7? Not sure about girls, but guys should just hit over the water and drive the green.

I think 9, 10, 11 is the toughest 3 hole stretch on the entire 36 hole property.

7 was up - caused a 3-4 group pile up on the tee because every kid would drive the green. The reason I say you had to pay attention on that hole is that Driver was too much, so anything long right is kinda dead, and left is dead too. Not difficult, but makes you actually hit a shot unlike any other tee shot up to that point. 9 is a great hole. didn't seem to phase the kids like 11 did for some reason. Saw more shots go long right on 11 than got into trouble on 9.

I played there a couple of weeks ago and the greens were the worst I've seen them just FYI. Hopefully, they've improved since then.

That is not good news. Hope they have improved. Seems like everywhere and everyone are having problems with their greens.

Eston Duff from Hyde Park is headed to DBU. In District, he shot 66 and made 9 birdies. The Girls' medalist at State from FW Christian I shot 68-68, after shooting 65 in Regionals. She is also headed to DBU.

CapCity - do you coach at Hyde Park? Cool to see the HP golf tradition is living on. Eston looks like quite the player.

I had only one qualifier for State. 2 of the top 3 teams in state are in our district (HP and Regents) and we send top 2 teams from district to regionals…so I've got some work to do
