pre-tournament interviews suggesting the course is soft and this will be another birdie fest.
Well what do you know. Bennett and Champ both -4 and in the top 10........at the moment anyway.
I don't follow much professional golf, but it would be so cool to see Bennett win one to get his card in his rookie year. I'd start watching much more.

good that he is recognizing this. Hopefully he can go low again tomorrow and build some cushion in case of an off 3rd or 4th round and still finish with a top 20 or better.
yep - that's the biggest hurdle for college golfers arriving on the Tour. The extra round they play, and stamina gives way.
How has he been doing with his pace of play? I really haven't seen him since the masters.
seems like his pre shot stuff is a bit quicker but still stands over and fiddles around for quite a bit. His groups haven't been on the clock or fallen behind so i think he is okay. Just hard to watch on TV.98Ag99Grad said:

I just had changed the channel from the golf tournament when I saw he was T2 on the TexAgs home page. So I turned it back because I had been watching an hour and never saw his name on the leaderboard.
Whoever the hell thought it was a genius idea to cut off the leaderboard on the TV at 5 names regardless of ties needs to be slapped. I swear it used to show top 10 or scroll top 10 regularly in the past.

Coverage is garbage too the first two days. They have featured group streams and featured hole streams. For the main feed all they ever show is those streams. For example, they didn't even get Sam's eagle on video.AgLA06 said:

ESPN+ is worth it IMO if you want to see more golfers. The coverage will follow a few groups and then some cameras at certain holes. It seems like the main stream just kind of bounces around those same cameras, so if you have a weak featured group you are going to see them a bunch and then whoever is popular at the featured holes.

Was looking over the pga university results and it said he can have unlimited exemptions for next season as well because he finished in the top 5.

I don't believe he's qualified for the Open. And I don't believe he's playing the Scottish or the John Deer.
That means there's only 2 non-elevated tournaments left. He'd probably have to be top 5 in both to qualify for next season on the PGAT.
Assuming that doesn't happen. He's go the Korn Ferry next year looking to qualify.
