Great job of the PGAT and its brass not showing the final round and playoff on live tv with arguably one of the top 5 popular golfers in the world winning for the first time in four years. They grew the **** out of the game today.

Ahhh yeah. Missed opportunity.

I guess due to the weather and moving up tee times, it ended earlier than coverage would allow.

It goes to show you that these big networks are locked into their contracts, care more about money….as opposed to bumping up coverage to showcase this awesome finish.

What was even on CBS at the time?

I'm really happy for Rickie. The dude has battled. He's playing some really good golf right now. Could be an interesting Open Championship. I remember reading somewhere a few years back that Fowler likes playing links courses. Would love for him to finally win a major.

My understanding was that you received a two-year exemption for a regular tournament win, so I guess that's for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons since he won in 2021. But he did win in the 2020-2021 season, so you would think the first year of the exemption would be 2021-2022 and he would expire after this season if he wasn't in the top 125.

It was in the Fall season, so it was actually in the 21-22 season.

It was in July 2021 of the 2020-2021 season, just before the start of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The Fall season starts in September, after the playoffs. It doesn't really matter - I was just curious.

His Sanderson Farms win was in the Fall of the 2019-2020 season.

Membership changes

As a result of changes made due to COVID-19 pandemic, there were several changes to membership criteria for the 202021 season:

The 202021 season and the preceding 201920 season were regarded as one season for exemption purposes.
