I wish a club would nut up and not allow carts. Or at least half the time. Courses look so good when you don't have 150 carts running all over them 6 days a week.
Briacrest (or whatever its called now) is public and in very good shape. The condition of the greens and the rest of the course seem to fluctuate based on the season (greens looked really bad in the Spring), so I would play it right now if you have the chance. Place always has Poa Anna, so that means when the temps drop in the late fall the greens will be looking like crap again.Bad Poster said:topoftexasag said:
Yes once a month they want to meet up at a course in the area.
A&M is course is about your only option.
I agree with you - most courses do look better without cart traffic.Yesterday said:

Played last week prior to the rain.
Paspalum turf was quite good - growing in nicely in most areas.
Give it another season and the turf will be exceptional !
The turf upgrade will help immensely but I feel like Traditions is encumbered by poor drainage and an uninspiring Nicklaus design.
