That's what I thought but every green has the same shelf in the same location. It just rotates to either be at the back, front, left, or right.

Nothing unfair about the advantage when you hit it that much closer than the other guy. That said, the real fun comes when someone putts first, makes it, and hammers the guy with a 10' putt who has to decide how confident he is on that.

It's also more fun to play when birdies double so you can hammer before a birdie putt, get it accepted, then make it for a 4x money win.

It's minor changes in the break. The shelf is always there.

I think it would be greatly improved if they made it a flat green and then used the jacks to truly create a differently contoured green every hole.

Something is wrong with their simulator if he hit a 199 yard shot 100 yards as they showed and it left him 79 yards out. What happened to the missing 20 yards? There are some other unexplainable things with their simulator.

He heard wrong and thought it was 99yds.

Nothing unexplainable at all, the launch monitors they are using suck and everyone knows it. Get the highest end foresight unit and the problem is solved.

The issues with this so far are so bad. But they have the social media and TV golf media push to stroke it. It's all in good fun that Tiger hit a 99 yard wedge into a 199 yard shot. It's fine that the tech can't accurately pick up shots. Because everyone is on board.

This product sucks. Tiger needs to let the tech partnership he has get out of the way but we know it won't happen. I'd love to see the ratings of tgl now vs whatever standard content espn used to run during the same hours.

I know the launch monitors suck, especially on the shots inside 120 yards. That said, this seems to not be a launch monitor issue since it said the ball went 100 yards but the change in distance was 120 yards for the third shot. That seems to be a simulator problem in addition to the launch monitor problem.

the launch monitors they are using have proven to be not accurate, but in regards to Tigers shot with the wedge last night he completely missed clubed. He thought it was 99 yards, not 199.

I'm not defending the tech. It may, in fact, suck. But the Tiger shot you're highlighting has nothing to do with it. Their yardage guy told him "99" for 199 (not uncommon) and Tiger thought he meant 99. So he hit a 100 yard wedge. It was a mix up. Not an issue with the launch monitor.

Gotcha. I thought the yardage guy got the 99 from the tech.

I wasn't watching but couldn't you tell from looking at the screen the shot was more than 99 yards? Even on a sim you can tell when you're close to a green and when you aren't.

When I watched it, it seemed like Tiger was a little rushed with the shot clock and grabbed the wedge quickly and hit. That said, you would have thought when looking at the screen he could tell. Also, I think any shot of that distance is from the forward tee areas in the arena so they don't hit the roof so that should have also tipped him off.

Tiger said in his post match interview it was just simply a brain fart.

They talked about it in the moment, he heard 99. When in reality, it was 199. Although this tech certainly has its faults that shot last night was not one of them that was human error

I love that they're continually tweaking the rules and stuff. It's still enjoyable.

The only real disappointment is the fact that Tiger has been the 2nd worst golfer in the entire league, ahead of only Kisner. Other guys are throwing darts, making putts, holing out, and Tiger is just all over the place. That sucks.

I think Tiger's back or leg is still hurting. He doesn't seem to really swing too hard. Looks like he's thinking about something else the whole time. It could be his mom though IDK. something seems off with him.
Also the full swing simulator is trash. The players seem to be getting frustrated with it.

The guy is half man, half metal with all the rods and screws he has in him holding his body together. The fact he has two legs is a miracle, nevermind the fact he can still swing a club. And yeah his mom's passing is still playing a role I'm sure.

If you listen to these guys talk to their caddies it's common shorthand to drop the 1 in front of these yardages. It's just when you're on the course standing 199 out you're not going to make this mistake. Standing in front of a sim it's easy to lose the context of the shot.
