Thank you above on the 20% off tip. I ordered the R50 last Friday and got it Wednesday. Looks like they finally caught it right after I ordered. Had a friend try that evening and it was no longer valid, although he got the 15% "sign up for new customer marketing texts" promotion to work so he got $750 off.
I moved on from my OG skytrak that I bought 5 years ago at the start of covid. My setup is on our patio and a camera setup next to the ball is a must, and this rig is perfect with HDMI to my patio TV. I'd been considering Bushnell, but dropping $3500 for the ball and club data, then still needing a gaming computer and needing 2 subscriptions for $750 per year to unlock GSPro was just something I could not convince myself was worth it.
Findings so far:
- 4 days in, I've found the accuracy spot on for me. Ball flight mirrors my real flight; my misses look like my misses. Not seeing distance issues, but if someone needed, altitude, temp, and humidity can all be adjusted to really dial it in
- No missed shots or chips so far, or any "wtf?" shots
- Garmin seems to be taking all the feedback they are receiving and are sending down software updates
- HTH is a big upgrade from the R10 version and I love all the course options. Good to know GSPro is still an option, but not feeling the need to do it. If I do, at least no $500 monitor subscription needed like bushnell
- I have putted on a lot of sims and don't care for any of them, so I'm not your guy for that review. I do like how the HTH auto-putt works although adjustability would be a nice feature. That said, I don't know that I'd adjust it. But I bet they add a software update for that
